Sheril, I’d like to talk about the odd behavior of your battery. I once in a while hear horror stories of lemon computers and I often wonderment how much of it is genuinely “the lemon component” and how much of it is the accumulation of negligible factors in the user’s behavior. The first feeling I will mention is heat. Laptop batteries of all kinds are susceptible to eagerness, and the MacBook Air, because it’s such an strict design, is especially powerless to heat. That machine must be kept out of hot environments such as baking cars in summer, roasting in dictate sunlight, and so forth.

A subordinate, less common factor is far-off vibration. Again, the MacBook Air is specially vulnerable to this because it’s advertised as being lightweight. In theory, you should carry any laptop inside a thickly padded transmitter. Of course, that would contradict the whole stress of the MacBook Air, wouldn’t it? In any covering, every time a shock zigzag travels through that machine — every ice and bang — it degrades the fastidious membranes inside the battery.
